These are sounds I assembled and music I made and recorded for a great production of a play by playwright Alex Reed, directed by Brad Steinmeyer, for Fringe Festival 2014 at University of Colorado, Boulder. The play Believe is a futuristic dystopian allegory and narrative of a machine mountain that is both a crumbling city and a worldview dominated by a major religious order.

about

This was house music playing for a while before the first scene, where everything should be perfect in the mountain city, which is all any of the citizens of the mountain know or worry about, it is everything that they need to know or worry about according to the faith. The faith is the guardian shepherd to the people of the mountain city and controls perceptions of life, afterlife and those who were committed to this technological and dogmatic utopia generations ago. Everyone including the faith itself has lost the understanding necessary to maintain this utopian mountain city, and so the story unfolds, dissent begins in the manifestation of a young woman who stands up to the faith at one of their sermons, this track and scene end abruptly.
